ContactIndia boasts a rich talent pool of elite squash players who consistently excel on the global stage. SRFI maintains a transparent, performance-based national ranking system.
The national ranking system is updated quarterly and considers performances in SRFI-sanctioned tournaments, including the National Championship, PSA Tour events, and major international competitions. Players earn points based on round progression and tournament category. SRFI's selection committee uses these rankings as the primary criterion for selecting teams for the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and other multi-sport events. Our High-Performance Center (HPC) in Chennai provides tailored training programs for top-ranked athletes, focusing on physical conditioning, mental toughness, and advanced tactical analysis. In the 2023 season, Indian players won a combined 45 medals across various international events, including 12 golds at the South Asian Games and 5 medals at the Asian Individual Championships. The federation's junior development pipeline, starting at U-11, ensures a steady flow of talent into the senior ranks.
SRFI organizes and sanctions a comprehensive calendar of tournaments catering to all age groups and skill levels, from sub-junior nationals to professional PSA events.
